When the Slack installer hangs at a percentage and never finishes, it is almost always a corrupted download or a conflict with another program. A clean restart of the install fixes it.
Installers freeze when the downloaded file is incomplete or corrupted, when antivirus pauses the process to scan it, or when a leftover Slack process from an earlier attempt blocks the new one. A slow or interrupted download is a frequent root cause.
